Why Circle K wanted a smarter car wash
Following the acquisition of certain retail assets from TotalEnergies in 2024, Circle K has continued to invest in its expanded European store network. A modern, flexible, and data-driven car wash fits naturally into that ambition. One powered by smart payment options and digital wash cards.

Five partners, one integrated platform
Bringing every part of the car wash experience together into one end-to-end ecosystem took close collaboration between five industry specialists, each with a clear role:
- Circle K as strategic lead
- SmartNow as overall integrator, and developer of the payment terminal app and voucher system
- Dover Fueling Solutions® (DFS) for the POS capabilities
- Savona for the technical installation of the jet washes
- Worldline for the payments (acceptance and acquiring)
What we built
For us, this is SmartNow at its core: connecting machines that used to operate in isolation and turning them into one secure, scalable, cloud-connected fleet.

Proven in pilot, ready to scale
The early pilot locations had already shown that digital vouchers and smart payment options simplify day-to-day operations and create a smoother customer journey. Those insights guided the rollout across all Benelux sites.

With this upgrade, Circle K in the Benelux now operates one of Europe’s most advanced car wash platforms. Machines can be monitored and managed in real time, improving uptime and enhancing the customer experience.
It also opens the door to what comes next. Think mobile app integration and instant Wash Card top-ups via smartphone or payment terminal. The platform gives Circle K complete real-time visibility and control across its entire car wash network: a strong foundation for continuous digital innovation and added customer convenience.
Deployment began in September 2025 and was completed in early Q2 2026. Together, SmartNow and Circle K are setting a new digital standard for car wash solutions in the Benelux. Smarter, simpler, and ready for the future.
